A data collective / cooperative building data infrastructure and curating datasets. Like Mondragon in sense of both of its idealistic start with 5 people and what it could beocme in 50y e.g. 80,000 people and 260 different cooperatives in a network. Sustainable cooperative-like businesses that can do all of this work and sustain it over time and at some scale.

I spent three hours yesterday migrating Debian machines to rebuild my Ghost blog, Baserow instance and Minetest server. I spend a lot of time worrying whether I should self host at all? And if so, whether to use Dokku, Dokploy, Coolify, Portainer? How could a Data Collective help us to prioritize and run community infrastructure together?

Create an intro path for new ‘developers/curators’ coming to open data and wanting to contribute. A bit like the WayBackMachine, based on the link to any open dataset we should get a beautiful embed version (especially for Data Packages expanding to a full view with charts like in DataHub), as well as full text searching events, projects and people for references.

A process that helps them make better decisions. Local communities know what they want and need for their lives and i want to help them with data to make choices.

Working on a framework or even a set of protocols that helps people to use state of art data tools for open data.
