Organized with The Things Network (TTN), a community which runs meet-ups and hacknights in Bern throughout the year. We support makers who have ideas of projects, people who are running gateways, and offer a forum for anyone building solutions on LoRaWAN and similar protocols. At the beginning of December, we are kindly invited by Glue Software Engineering AG, to plug in for an evening of tinkering and sharing at their offices in central Bern.

The goal of the evening is to implement various small IoT projects and connect to their data using LoRaWAN. Of course, beer and pizza are not neglected this evening either. We will start with an input session, get our hardware and form sub-teams. Everyone is welcome! A TTN-ready device (ESP32-based) will be provided for each participant, along with a couple of sensors, wires, schematics, books: everything beginners need, with experienced people on hand to help you get started. People who are not new to IoT are welcome to bring their own devices and sensors to hack, show and share.

We will close the session around 9pm with seasonal drinks and social networking - hoping to stimulate your interest in IoT, TTN, LoRa, and encourage you to build and share your projects.

All attendees, sponsors, partners, volunteers and staff at our hackathon are required to agree with the Hack Code of Conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to ensure a safe environment for everybody.
